Kim is a journalist who has written on the extensive changes in Macau since its handover to Mainland China in 1999, the socio-cultural dynamics related to development of the gaming industry and opportunities for small medium enterprise to participate in the emerging economy. She was the Editor in Chief of the first English-language newspaper in Macau, The Macau Post Daily and serves on the editorial boards of several magazines such as Macau Image Magazine and 3Cm Media in Hong Kong. Kim completed her undergraduate studies at Spelman College in Atlanta, Georgia and MBA at The Edinburgh School of Business as well as linguistic studies at the National University of Singapore.
